PPA offers a variety of group sessions for you and your dog.

Puppy PreSchool & More: Puppies will work on all of the basics: sit, down, loose leash walking, come, and more. Socialization is a part of every class. Such concerns as potty training, puppy biting, and other normal puppy challenges are addressed. In addition, puppies will be using some of the agility equipment as ways to explore their environment, build confidence and partnership skills, and reinforce the manners cues they are learning as well. This class includes the AKC STAR Puppy Program. This class is for puppies 6 months and under, as well as older smaller breed puppies.
Puppy Kindergarten & More: Puppies will work on all of the basics: sit, down, loose leash walking, come, and more. Socialization is addressed as well. Such concerns as potty training, puppy biting, and other normal puppy challenges are addressed. In addition, puppies will be using some of the agility equipment as ways to explore their environment, build confidence and partnership skills, and reinforce the manners cues they are learning as well. This class includes the AKC STAR Puppy Program. This class is for puppies 6 months and older, as well as younger, larger breed puppies.
Home Obedience 1: Adult dogs will work on all of the basics: sit, down, loose leash walking, come, stay, and more. Other concerns will be addressed, including but not limited to counter surfing and jumping. This class is for dogs 1 year and over.
Level 2 Obedience: Dogs over 10 months of age who have learned basic skills and want to increase the reliability of these skills. Distractions provided in class help your dog to utilize these skills away from home. Pre-requisite: Home Obedience 1 or Puppy Kindergarten. Please contact us if you have taken classes through another trainer.
Home Obedience 2/ CGC/Pet Therapy: Dogs will work on improving their obedience skills, while preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. This test is the basic for most all Pet Therapy Registries. The CGC test will be given the final week. Prerequisite: Home Obedience 1 or the equivalent.
Rally Obedience: Rally Obedience is a fun way to continue to work basic obedience skills and to learn new ones by using signs to maneuver through a patterned course. Those who want to could even go on to compete! Must have Obedience 1 or equivalent.
Puppy Agility 1: Puppies 8 weeks of age to 1 year. In this course they will be introduced to the agility obstacles and you will be introduced to handling during an agility course.
Puppy Agility 2: Pre-requisite: Puppy Agility 1 and will build upon the skills you learned in that class. Puppies will be working off leash by the end of the course.
Introduction to Agility: No pre-requisites are required. You and your dog will start to learn the basics of agility. They will be introduced to jumps, weave poles, tunnels, and other agility equipment.
Agility Handling Basics: For dogs who have completed Agility 1 (Intro to Agility) or the equivalent. By the end of this class, dogs will be working off leash. Handlers will be learning all crosses and basic handling skills.
Intermediate Agility: For dogs who have been through the equivalent of Agility 1 (Intro) and 2 (Handling Basics) or the equivalent. Dogs must know all equipment (gates in weaves still ok) and be working off leash.
Advanced Agility: Advanced Agility training as well as trial preparations: dogs must be running off leash, staying with handlers, know all crosses and equipment.
OPEN Agility Workout: Open session to work independently on the skills needed to take your dog into the trial ring. Pre-requisite: weave/ teeter with no assistance, works off leash under control, has taken classes through Agility 4 or equivalent. Please contact us to see if this is a good fit for your dog.
