PPA offers a variety of group sessions for you and your dog.   Our next class term begins the week of January 9.  It will be $110 for the 7 week session.
Please note:  when you register, it only shows the first class date of your entire session.

The January session class schedule is now posted (use the text version not the table as it is currently not working) and sign up for the session is open now.
Please go to our reservations tab and log in to your Gingr account.  If you are new to PPA, you may create an account at any time.
For your spot to be reserved, payment must be applied at the time of registration.

The class must be paid for upon reservation to reserve your spot in the class.  When requesting online:  the system will now take you right to your cart where you must purchase the class package.  If you would like to inquire about a spot in the class and paying via check or cash, please contact us via email or phone.

Puppy PreSchool:  Puppies up to 6 months (and older small breed puppies) will receive a great foundation for basic skills.  They will have fun while working on sit, down, loose leash walking, come, and more.  Socialization is a part of every class.  We also address concerns such as potty training, puppy biting, and other normal puppy challenges.  In addition, puppies will be using a variety of equipment as ways to explore their environment, build confidence and partnership skills, and reinforce the manners cues they are learning as well.  This class includes the AKC STAR Puppy Program.  (No Pre-Requisite)

Puppy 2 Class:  for puppies 5 months and older who have already taken a puppy class but are still young and not quite ready for adult class and/or expectations.  More work on developing good skills, in addition to more commands and socialization skills as appropriate.  A lot of emphasis will be on loose leash walking, not jumping, recall, etc.  (Pre-Requisite:  Puppy PreSchool or Puppy Kindergarten)

Home Obedience 1:  Adult dogs will work on the basics:  sit, down, loose leash walking, come, stay, and more.  Other concerns will be addressed, including but not limited to counter surfing and jumping.  This class is for dogs 1 year and over.  (No Pre-Requisite)

Home Obedience 2/ CGC/Pet Therapy:  Dogs will work on improving their obedience skills, while preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.  This test is the basic for most all Pet Therapy Registries.  The CGC test will be given the final week.  Prerequisite:  Home Obedience 1 or the equivalent.

Beginning Puppy Agility:  Puppies (2 months older, or smaller adult and/or very shy adult dogs) will have a lot of fun with tunnels, low jumps, agility contact piece and more while reinforcing behavior and building confidence and teamwork skills.  Great off leash training while developing a wonderful relationship at the same time.  (No Pre-Requisite)

Beginning Adult Agility: Adult dogs (1 year and up) will have a lot of fun with tunnels, low jumps, agility contact piece and more while reinforcing behavior and building confidence and teamwork skills.  Great off leash training while developing a wonderful relationship at the same time.  (No Pre-Requisite)

Advanced Beginning Agility:   for any age puppy/dog who has completed the beginning agility class to continue to move forward in their beginning agility skills.  This class will also work on getting to an off leash working level.  (Pre-Requisite:  Beginning Puppy OR Beginning Adult Agility)

Intro to Agility Handling:  For dogs who have completed Beginning Agility Classes (or the equivalent).  By the end of this class, dogs will be working off leash.  Handlers will be learning various crosses and basic handling skills.  (Pre-Requisite Beginning Adult or Puppy Agility, Advanced Beginning Agility if trainer recommended)

Agility Skill Building:  Dogs must know all equipment (gates in weaves still ok) and be working off leash.  Using a variety of agility exercises, dogs and handlers will work on agility skills.  Completed weaves by the end of this class is one of the goals.  (Pre-Requisite:  Intro to Agility Handling)

Advanced Agility Handling:  Dogs will combine what they have learned in handling and skills from previous classes to work toward the next level.  (Pre-Requisite:  Agility Skill Building)

Agility Trial Prep:  Advanced Agility coursework for agility teams interested in competing in trials (competitions).  Dogs will be working off leash to further advance handling skills and to maneuver more complicated sequences.  Dogs must be working off leash with independent weaves/teeter.  (Pre-Requisite:  Advanced Agility Handling)

Advanced Agility Coursework for Fun:  Advanced Agility coursework for agility teams that just want to keep playing agility yet are perhaps not interested in trialing (competing) in the sport.  Dogs must be working off leash with independent weaves/teeter.  (Pre-Requisite:  Advanced Agility Handling)

Agility Specialty Coursework:  Advanced level of agility class that will have a different class or game each week.  We will rotate each week through a variety of classes, including Tunnelers, Jumpers, Weavers, Contacts, Distance, Barrelers, and a game or 2!  (Pre-Requisite:  Advanced Agility Handling)

OPEN Agility Workout:  Open session to work independently on the skills needed to work your dog for the trial ring. Pre-Requisite:  Agility Trial Prep (pay per week or punch card option – no pre-registraiton needed)
