PPA Pals and Friends looking for the *perfect home.
Sometimes, no matter how much owners may want to, they cannot keep the dogs they have adopted. Due to a variety of unfortunate circumstances, we have a few dogs looking for that perfect home. BOB (boston terrier). Bob is a very assertive, energetic dog who needs a strong family that knows how to handler the tenacity of this bossy little boston! He is fine with confident dogs, as he is not confident in himself. He is neutered and up to date on shots.
SIMON (terrier mix). Simon is a very sweet little terrier who is working hard to gain weight! He is slightly shy, but warms up well. He likes to run around and play, and then climb in your lap and cuddle. He is up to date on shots and is neutered.
ADOPTED ALI (terrier mix). Ali is a shy little terrier who just wants to be loved. She is up to date on shots and is spayed. She loves to run around and play.
ADOPTED EASTON (terrier mix). Easton is a terrier, beagle mix. He loves people and loves to play. He likes playful, confident dogs. Easton is very high energy, and needs a home that will help him continue to work on boundaries and manners. He is housetrained, neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTED OTIS (BC mix). Otis is about 8 months old. He will be neutered soon. He is an owner surrender; his owner couldn't give him the time he needed, had some challenges coming up, and wanted to find Otis the perfect home. Otis is very shy with people, and gets overwhelmed with kids. He seems to do well with other dogs. He does make up with people quickly when given the time and space to do so. He only came to PPA very recently, so we are still learning about him. We will post more information about him as we get to know him better.
ADOPTED! DOC (terrier mix). Doc came to us from CVHS as a stray who was very stressed in that environment. He was immediately a staff favorite at PPA. A cuddler, Doc will make an easy transition into a gentle home. He does great in daycare and loves people - he warms up very quickly. He is neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTED! PISTOL (terrier). Pistol is a high energy terrier puppy! She is a lover and a player, and will do well in a home that can give her not only love and exercise, but structure and training.
ADOPTED! RADAR (manchester terrier).Radar is a great little guywho loves attention, to play, and cuddle. He is neutered, up to date on shots, house trained, great with people and dogs.
ADOPTED! BUDDY (rat terrier). Buddy came to us from CVHS as they were getting full and they thought he would thrive better in a different environment. He is a smaller terrier about 7 years old. He does great in daycare and loves people - he warms up very quickly. He is neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTED! WRIGLEY (lab/border collie mix). Wrigley is a 4 month old owner surrender: he had too much energy the home he was in. He loves to play with other dogs, and can be a little bit excitable. He will soon be neutered and is up to date on shots. He is currently working with one of our staff members on basic obedience skills.
ADOPTED! DAPHNE - is a young, sweet little terrier who is learning not to be afraid of people. She does well with dogs, and actually responds to children quicker than adults. She was found as a stray, and was sent to us by CVHS to learn to trust people and love life! She has learned some basic obedience commands as well. She is available for adoption to the right home that understands her needs and can continue to help her develop her people skills.
ADOPTED!!! Odie and Tasha (chweenie and terrier) - These two cuties came in together from CVHS. Their owner could no longer care for them. They are outgoing, loving, and cuddle bugs! Both are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTED!!! MR. FINNEGAN (shitzu mix) - Mr. Finnegan is an 8 month old puppy who's owner was moving where he couldn't go with her. He is an energetic puppy who will make someone very happy!!! He is neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTED!!! GAVIN (rat terrier). Gavin came to us from CVHS. He was having a little trouble in that environment with kenneling and has some insecurity with people. He loves other dogs and does great in daycare. He is shy with new people but is learning to trust. We have worked on the kennel issue, and is now going in willingly and doesn't feel so trapped when he is in there. He is neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTION PENDING KALI (border collie lab mix). Kali was an owner surrender. She is a 7 month old, high energy girl. She loves people and dogs. She will need a job as she has a lot of drive and work ethic. She is now spayed and up to date on shots.
ADOPTION PENDING PEPE (rat terrier) - came to us from CVHS because he was too stressed there. He is somewhat shy with people at first, but warms up very quickly. He comes out in daycare and playgroups, and is great with other dogs. He would be better in a home without small children. Pepe is a player and a cuddler - the best of both worlds! He is estimated to be about 5 years old and is neutered and up to date on shots.
ADOPTED!!! Molly and Shelby (mini dachshunds) - these two came from a family together and we are hoping to adopt them out together. While they are both ok with other dogs, they would be happier in a home without other dogs or with larger, more confident dogs. They came from a home with children and are very friendly with people. Both are spayed and up to date on shots.
ADOPTION PENDING BANDIT (springer-border collie mix). Bandit is a happy go lucky kind of guy. He loves people and dogs, and is fantastic with kids. He loves to play and to cuddle. He has a lot of energy, but will fit very nicely into any home that gives him love, time, and attendion.
ADOPTED!!! SANDY (terrier mix). Sandy is doing great with other dogs. She is still a little shy with new people but is coming along very well. She has shown more interest and trust in kids than adults. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She is very much a little lover once she gets to know you.
ADOPTED!!! JACK (puggle) - happy go lucky boy who just wants to have fun.
ADOPTED!!! CLYDE - Husky who came from an abusive situation. He is doing great with people now and we are working on how he approaches other dogs. He is now playing with other medium to larger size dogs and he LOVES it!!
ADOPTED!!! LOLA - cattle dog mix with LOTS of energy. She needs some training, but loves people and can play great with confident dogs.
ADOPTED!!! TAZ - 4 year old lab mix. Tax is a very sweet boy. He has been in a loving and caring home with a small child since he was a puppy. Unfortunately they couldn't take care of him anymore. Wanting the best for him, they brought him here so he could find another family to love. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and very comfortable with other dogs. He loves to run and play, as well as snuggle up beside you for love and pets. He is a great family dog.
ADOPTED!!! JASPER - 6-8 month old yellow lab. Since one of our staff found him running before Christmas, Jasper has made himself right at home at PPA. He is great with people and other dogs. Jasper loves to run, jump, and play. He also loves to nestle his head in your hand and get lovins! He is neutered and up to date on shots. He is a high energy puppy who will need some training. He spent a few days at home with one of our staff, showing that he is housetrained.
ADOPTED!!! 3 Border Collie Puppies (we believe pure bred - mother was beautiful border collie - we met her and she was very sweet). 2 males and 2 females about 10 weeks old. Princess Leia Gabriella is the last puppy looking for her special home. She is currently being fostered with one of her brothers Swiper, a large and small breed dog, and a 5 year old child. Chubby (now named Hank) and Chloe have gone to their forever homes. Leia is a very sweet puppy. She is a little lover with lots of food and tug drive.
ADOPTED!!! Gypsy is about 4yrs old. She is kennel trained and house broken. She LOVES to cuddle and makes a great bed warmer.
She is great with kids, cats and other dogs. She showed up as a stray, spent time with one of our owners, and is now looking for her forever home. Picture soon.
ADOPTED!!! Bo is a lab shepherd mix who has just come in to PPA PALS and is in need of a forever home. She is a very sweet girl who is great with dogs but shy and unsure of people. She will be spending some time working with our trainers to become more confident with people. She has lots of energy on one hand, and is a cuddler on the other. Her owner has moved and sadly could not keep Bo with her. More information to come about Bo, as well as a picture.
ADOPTED!!! Amelia is a 3 year old Basenji mix. She is very sweet and will bond quickly! She was an owner surrender as they did not have the kind of time for her, and felt they couldn't give her what she needed. We are just getting to know her, but have seen no issues thus far. She is a little shy around active dogs, but did live with a shitzu in her previous home. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. We will post more information as we get to know her.
ADOPTED!!! Maya is a little beagle mix puppy about 3 months old. She was found with her mother in a barn. She is getting both human and dog socialization with one of our owners in her home. She didn't have a lot of human contact prior to coming to PPA, but she is currently being fostered in a home with 2 children as well. She also attends puppy playgroups at PPA. She is an adorable, round little puppy who has been started on her shots.
ADOPTED!!! Bailey is Pup Pup's mother, a beagle, who was found with her only surviving puppy in a barn. She was born in June of 2010, or atleast that is what her collar says. She is very social, loves everyone, plays with other dogs, chases the ball AND brings it back, and loves to play tug (with rules!). She participates in puppy playgroup at PPA and is doing great.
*The perfect home for these dogs will include an initial meeting, the checking of references, home visits, and anything else PPA PALS or the owners deem necessary to ensure these dogs are going to respectable, loving homes that are the best fit for these dogs.

Rehoming fees for private family dogs are at their own discretion.
